REMINDER:
It's time to pay your 2012 SPCA dues! SPCA's membership year is based on a calendar year, so if you haven't paid your dues since January 1, then it's time to renew. Dues are just $25/household and members get discounts on garden tour tickets, yard sale registration, and t-shirts.
SPCA dues are paid on a annual basis. The membership year is from January 1 to December 31.

Remi Ukwu is the owner and lead pharmacist of Shepherd Pharmacy on Eastern Avenue. For the past eleven years her pharmacy has catered to its clients, most of whom reside in the Shepherd Park, Takoma Park, North Portal Estates, and Silver Spring area. This pharmacy, in the small series of shops along the Georgia, Eastern, and Alaska Avenues triangle where DC meets Silver Spring, offers over the counter and prescription medications, durable medical equipment (e.g., wheelchairs, canes, bathtubs, etc.), and even some dollar store items.
Remi and her small team of pharmacists, technicians, and a driver focus on providing the best service possible. They are available even when the store is closed, operate an emergency telephone line, deliver medications and equipment directly to a customer's home, and even visit them in the hospital. Pharmacy staff develop a relationship with their clients and the clients' doctors so that the staff can fully understand individual medical needs and best provide the appropriate pharmaceuticals. For those patients who take a lot of medications, the pharmacy will organize the medications and package them appropriately by day and time to ensure that the patients take the medications on the correct schedule. Additionally, the pharmacy tries to price match medications to help those who are uninsured.
