Ledo Pizza Profile

Shepherd Park residents Tim and Kelly Shuy opened Ledo Pizza and Pasta at 7435 Georgia Avenue in the Spring of 2006. Kelly manages the day to day activities of the restaurant. Husband Tim, Vice President of Fair Franchising for Choice Hotels International, is an advisor, investor and occasional pizza taster. Ledo Pizza and Pasta is a regional chain that began in Adelphi, Maryland in the 1950s. More than just a pizza restaurant, Ledo’s also serves great spaghetti, lasagna, and other pasta meals.

When Tim and Kelly were asked "Why a restaurant on Georgia Avenue?" they were quick to point out that "as much as we welcome a revitalized Downtown Silver Spring, we want to be able to frequent restaurants and shops that are in closer proximity to where we live." Ledo's has a bright, energetic, family-friendly atmosphere and a staff that includes a number of neighborhood teenagers.

Kelly and Tim Shuy and Ledo Pizza and Pasta are tireless supporters of the community, donating refreshments to Shepherd Park Citizens Association meetings, providing a venue to label SPCA newsletters, and bringing volunteers and food for the SPCA community picnics every year. The SPCA recognized them as "2007 Business of the Year" for their efforts.
