We use your membership dues to pay for the costs of our community events and to support the work of other organizations that serve our neighborhood. All of our activities are carried out by volunteers, so if you can help on an occasional basis, please be sure to let us know on your application. And if you have comments or suggestions for SPCA, please let us hear from you!
Individual and Household Membership
Shepherd Park is home to over 1500 households. We encourage all residents to join the Shepherd Park Citizens Association.
If you live in the SPCA boundary area, you are eligible to become a voting member of the SPCA.
The SPCA boundaries are Eastern Avenue on the north, Aspen Street on the south, Georgia Avenue (west side) on the east, and Rock Creek Park on the west.

We are proud to have many individuals who live outside the neighborhood who support SPCA's activities. These individuals may join as "Friends of SPCA."
SPCA dues are $20 per household and are paid each calendar year.
SPCA members receive discounts on Shepherd Park t-shirts/sweatshirts, yard sale registration, and garden tour tickets.

Shepherd Park is home to a long list of businesses, schools, churches, synagogues and nonprofit organizations that support the Shepherd Park Citizens Association in many ways.
We encourage these and any other businesses and organizations with an interest in the Shepherd Park community to join the SPCA at one of the following levels.
SPCA Business and Community Membership Benefits
Silver $50
- A subscription to the Shepherd Park News, our quarterly newsletter.
- A listing in an issue of the Shepherd Park News with name, address, phone number, email address and website.
- A listing in the business and community supporters directory on the SPCA website with name, address, phone number, email address and website.
- Opportunity to include coupons/promotional items in our new neighbor welcome baskets.
- Opportunity to include coupons when we send out SPCA stickers to new/renewing members.
- Opportunity to place coupons in the Shepherd Park News for $25 per issue.

Gold $100
- All of the above from Silver
- A listing in the SPCA business and community supporters directory on the website with live website and email links.

Platinum $150
- All of the above from Silver and Gold
- A one-line listing on each SPCA community meeting agenda.
- One free ad business card size ad in the Shepherd Park News.
- A 200-word profile of the business in the SPCA business and community supporters directory on the SPCA website.
- Opportunity to submit newsworthy information to the Shepherd Park News and the SPCA website.
